Newhall is located in the tall corn country of East-Central Iowa.  Many CLS families operate farms or are in farm-related businesses. They raise corn and soybeans, dairy cattle, beef cattle, and hogs.  Other CLS families work in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City in occupations including health care, computer technology, cereal and refrigeration manufacturing.
